President Obama Comes to Maryland!
This Thursday 9/17, President Obama is coming to the University of Maryland, College Park for a rally in support of health insurance reform. I know I'm pumped and I hope the local Hispanic Dems are too. This event is free and open to the public but admission is on a first-come, first-served basis. Here are the details:
What: Health Reform Rally with President Obama Admission is on a first-come, first-served basis, so please arrive as early as possible. Parking and Transportation: Parking is extremely limited around the Comcast Center and the use of public transportation is strongly encouraged. The University will provide free shuttle buses from the University of Maryland-College Park Metro Station (Green Line) to and from the Comcast Center starting at 6:00 a.m. until two hours following the event. Special Needs: Guests with disabilities are encouraged to enter the ComcastCenter from the Terrapin Trail Parking Garage on the top level of the Comcast Center, OR the lower level door (to the right at the bottom of the stairs leading to the front door). There will be a sign interpreter at the event. A limited number of seats will be held in the ComcastCenter for hearing impaired guests. After you pass through security, please go to one of the “Help” stations inside the ComcastCenter and a volunteer will direct you. Please note that seating is limited and will be provided on a first come, first served basis. FIRED UP!....READY TO GO!

Start Time: 11:00 a.m.
Security: All attendees will go through airport-like security and should bring as few personal items as possible. No bags, no sharp objects, no umbrellas, no liquids, no strollers, and no signs will be allowed into the venue.
Camping: Overnight camping will not be permitted. Lines may begin forming at 6:30 am on Thursday, September 17.
